I thought I'd start a conversation about the books that have most influenced and affected us that we'd highly recommend to others.
Here's a few of mine:
An Unstoppable Force - this is by far the hardest to read of all Erwin McManus' books but is also by far the most significant. For people who are looking to dig deeper into the ethos of Mosaic, this is a must read.
Maximise the Moment - this book by T.D. Jakes had a huge impact on me in terms of how practically I need to take charge of my life in order to make the most of it.

Without Feathers by Woody Allen - It's a collection of high-brow satirical essays that don't make much sense and instilled in me a real joy about making jokes on the fly, being silly and absurd, and generally poking fun at serious things.
Crazy Salad by Nora Ephron - Another collection of essays, these dealing with feminist issues in the 1970s written in a style both illuminating and chuckle-inducing.
Moneyball by Michael Lewis - OK, it's about baseball, but really, it's about doing things smarter, cheaper, and better than the big guys. It's a David vs Goliath story.
Everything Must Change a recent book by an American author called Brian McLaren which seeks to answer 2 ostensibly simple questions. First, what are the most crictical problems facing our world today? And second, how do the life and teachings of Jesus address these problems?
Brian concludes that Jesus' message was a radical message that challenged the underlying social, political and economic stories that had taken hold of the people of his day. He then applies this good news of Jesus to the world as it is today and argues that if enough people believed it, it could ignite a revolution of hope that would change everything. Then, of course, comes the challenge to us. What are we going to do in light of this?
Some really challenging and scary stuff! Thoroughly recommended...
