Vox Sheffield Events:
Over the next six months, we are going to be running at least three different Vox events*. We haven't yet finalised the details for all of these, but hope to have all the dates published soon.
The date is now set for the first Vox event: November 20th in the Green Room. More details to follow.
If you would like to join the team that is focussed on running these events, then get in touch with Ryan Offutt who is heading the team up. His email address is: ryan[at]mosaicsheffield[dot]org.
There are really three different areas we are looking for people to get involved with this:
1) Artisans - Artisans are those who are interested in showcasing their creative works at a Vox party - painting, music, dance, poetry, sculpture, photography, etc.
2) Craftsmen - Craftsmen are those who are interesting in being involved putting the event together practically - event coordination, publicity, sound, lighting, etc.
3) Advocates - Advocates are those who are interested in issues of social justice. All VOX events are either fundraisers for causes or charities or are fully themed around a particular issue. Advocates will establish links with relevant people and organisations and champion them through Vox.
Make sure you join the VOX Sheffield group to stay updated.
* Vox events are events we create designed to give voice to local artists whilst at the same time raising awareness and giving voice to issues of social justice both locally and overseas. Our aim is to showcase creativity in Sheffield and work together to create a better world.
